Earlsfield SW18, Courgettes & Bert is evil ;)

I like Earlsfield – I especially like visiting now Jacs has moved there. It’s a nice area and so yesterday on my way for dinner I popped into a few Estate Agents along the way and sussed out the prices of a few places. Not quite as unaffoirdable as I thought three years ago. Still a tad poricey though I think when it’s just me buying it. Still if we don’t have dreams.
Courgettes – that’s the main staple at Jacs and Helen’s recently by all accounts. Urban vegetable subsistence gardening it isn’t but food straight out your garden is great. Unfortunately it’s feast or famine with the blighters. Andrew and I used to have the same problem with swiss chard, tomatoes, pears and numerous other vegetable staples. We’d end up making chutney and strudels and pickling and preserving. I almost felt like I was an extra in the good life!
So when Sinead arrived there were five of us for dinner including Fiona too. Sinead I later discovereed plays tennis with one of the three most important women in my company. I may take up tennis so I can casually ask for that pay rise đŸ˜‰
During the course of the meal [and a few glasses of bubbly later] Bert the resident cat decided to pay me attention. I love cats but unfortunately am very allergic to them. So last night I spent most of the evning wheezing when I should have been sleeping. I must remember to take my antihistamine next time.

I missed Six Feet Under starting on E4 – thank the lord for second chance sunday is all I can say :o)

I need a PA II

Wednesday night – Make plans to see Jacs and Helen – oh and also to go for drinks with Angela from work – what is going on – damn my infernal memory.

The Bourne Identity Part II

Okay then so I know it’s a little later than I planned but I had one of those weekends.
Friday went to see The Bourne Identitytrailer here
It was really cool – fast paced and entertaining. Enough sly humour to stop me getting bored and enough Matt Damon to keep me very happy đŸ˜‰
Makes James Bond seem very old and quaint.
Before the film a few of us from workwent for dinner and drinks. John and I ended up at wagamama’s on High St Ken [the others wanted boringly plain food]. We were served by a rather cute guy by the name of Anthony – John greeted him as such and continued to flirt for the rest of the meal. ‘Oh is that an iPaq?’ etc etc.
Straight boys flirting with waiters = wrong
Waiters dissing me in favour of straight boys = very wrong

We wandered back down the High Street to the Princess Victoria which was having a closing down sale – good for us and good for the pub by the looks. Not the sort of bar one would expect to find in Kensington.

So all in all a fun packed Friday night.

Saturday and Sunday were quite quiet by all accounts. A friend from Liverpool came to stay on Saturday and after 3 bottles of tinto the rest of the evening was spent watching Beautiful Thing
I noticed for the first time that both Wendy and Leslie are in the Gloucester scenes. I was always looking for Graham – doh!

Sunday was a bit of a write off – although did manage pizza and a few beers at the Waterfront – nice bar – nice atmosphere – nice boys đŸ˜‰

Se erm that was my weekend – how was yours?

no way!

Dave at work just sent me a link to a site that claims Farscape is being canned :o( After a little investigation it appears this is true :o( no more Ben Browder fixes for me then – good job I had a big Matt Damon fix last night then. Phew.

Political me?

Well allegedly I must be because I suddenly started getting a lot of hits from Gay Insider under the headings Community>Organisations>Political.
Weird eh?

New Toys

Scally has taken great delight in showing off his new mobile phone. It has a colour screen and screensaver and the like. Three points…
The screensaver was vile
The less said about the pictures the better
It’s a work phone
You can take the … out of … but you can’t take the … out of …
um not sure how to finish that.

I need a PA

No really I do. Okay so I double booked myself on Saturday. So I rescheduled one of them to Friday – now that is double booked too :o(
It get’s worse as I was going down to Bournemouth next week end to see Steve and David. Only to remember that I am having my eyes sliced and burned that weekend :o(
Grrr
I may resort to using a diary of some sort soon.
