I love the random emails

I love the random emails you get from friends. This one made me chuckle it is like a mini Darwin Awards.
3 people die each year testing if a 9v battery works on their tongue.
142 people were injured in 1998 by not removing all pins from new shirts.
58 people are injured each year by using sharp knives instead of
screwdrivers.
31 people have died since 1996 by watering their Christmas tree while the
fairy lights were plugged in.
19 people have died in the last 3 years believing that Christmas
decorations were chocolate.
Hospitals reported 4 broken arms last year after cracker pulling accidents.
101 people since 1997 have had to have broken-parts of plastic toys
pulled out of the soles of their feet.
18 people had serious burns in 1998 trying on a new jumper with a lit
cigarette in their mouth.
A massive 543 people were admitted to A&E in the last two years after
opening bottles of beer with their teeth.
5 people were injured last year in accidents involving out of control
Scalectrix cars.
And finally,
8 people cracked their skull in 1997 after falling asleep while throwing up
into the toilet.

Watch yourselves kiddies!!

Happy New Year everyone. I

Happy New Year everyone.
I hope you all had as good a night as I did – a nice intimate gathering with lots of alchohol and stimulants. Fireworks on the roof with champagne at midnight – it really was a lovely evening. It was the least well planned of my New Years but so far the most fun.
Normally I have a loathing for New Year because everyone has so many expectations and plan everything to the last detail setting themselves up to be disappointed. By the time midnight rolls along they are ready to call it a night.
I could have probably dispensed with the food I bought and just opted for bottles of Vittel but there you go live and learn eh?
We ended the party around midday and everyone went home or to bed for a couple of hours – cleaning up was a bit of a mare but other than that a good night was had by all I hope and by most definitely!
This year I think I have had a brilliant Christmas thanks to Nic and Vianney and a superb New Year thanks to Jacs, Ian and Andrew. Jacs for Suggesting it, Ian for coming down from Bingley at such short notice and Andrew for preparing the whole thing during the day.
I managed to finally meet Arwen – Jacs’ other half who was an instant hit – she got on with everyone and it was like we had known her for years! I miss Jacs when she is not around and don’t see enough of her when she is around but we have made plans for an intimate Christmas next year in a ski chalet probably in Chamonix. I’m looking forward to the end of 2001 and it has only just started.
cheers everyone – I hope you had a great night whatever you did or didn’t do.

Well I must say although

Well I must say although Christmas wasn’t planned at all this year it turned out very well. Nick and Vianney were the perfect hosts. Woke up and they even had a gift for me this morning Even though my being there was unplanned. They are so sweet.
Actually spent most of the day with them except for going home for a quick shower – there bathroom is very intimidating. All white with lots of mirrors – and I mean lots! Took my dog Jack out for a long walk with Andrew and his 4 beardies. Went back to N&V’s for dinner which was fabulous – sorry Mum but it surpassed a family meal lots. Nice conversation and lovely food.
Drove to pick up Andrew’s new boyf (The sexy Brasilian Fabio) and then came home around 11. Few more glasses of wine later and I am having a great time.
Hope you all had a good Christmas too – speak to you all in the new year [honest].
Take Care

Went to heaven last night

Went to heaven last night which was a refreshing change – doesn’t seem that long since I worked there 🙂
Made all the more fun by the fact that I was chatted up – unfortunately he has a boyfriend and just wanted to unwrap me for christmas but… I must admit he was cute and definitely worth it. He works there too so maybe I’ll see him again you never know!
just on my way out now – very festive this season you know lots of parties and dinners to attend. Nick and Vianni have invited Andrew and I for dinner and possibly a sandwich for me. Sounds like fun!
Elric has settled in and has been cleaning whilst I have been out partying. He was shocked by the mess I think cos gay boys are supposed to be clean and tidy yeah right!
He is currently grilling us on sexuality questions – you know how str8 people do when they suddenly discover that we don’t bite!

Oh my god it is

Oh my god it is 2:15 I just realised.
I seem to be confessing a lot this week so hey lets go for another whammy here Derek is cute too – but str8 🙁
When we had our christmas lunch at the
collection
yesterday – well I say lunch it was actually a bit longer than
that! We discussed in detail the people in the office
we would ‘do’ if we had the chance and they were remotely interested. We
actually did a top 3 of both men and women. Well Nichola actually had to cut
hers down from 10 to 3.
I think I may consider my top 3 and increase that a little – especially if I
widen the circle to people outside work. Funny how you find it hard to tell
people you fancy them in person but writing it down for anyone to read is
actually quite easy. I think I may start a new site. peopleiwoulddo.com a bit
like aihon but with listings of people
and their top 3 wannadoos.  Tell
me
your top 3 shags – if you want me to do a bit of Cilla styleee
matchmaking the you had better include their email addresses or contact details
too.

okay well you know how

okay well you know how when you are drunk I have been out for my christmas drinks since 1pm on the 21st and have no clue what time or day it is.
okay a few things from tonight – office christmas parties should be banned. You admit way to much.
never ever stay out for more drinks – it gets messy
NEVER go out for drinks with friends afterwards it gets messier still.
if you do try not to admit too much. it looks bad
I must say you never really appreciate your friends enough. The 2 brewers rocks and I will probably edit this tommorow so make a copy 😉
night night
[oh and I drank way too much ]

Ever get the feeling it

Ever get the feeling it is gonna be one of those days – arrived late into the office, spent 15 minutes wrapping presents and then a further 10 minutes distributing them. I’m now counting down until our boozy christmas lunch at 12:30. Somehow I don’t think we will be coming back into the office 🙂
I’m also listening [sadly] to a christmas CD to try and get into the festive spirit! It’s just not happening this year.

Well I took today off

Well I took today off [mainly because I had too many left over and need to use them or lose them] and decided I really should get into the festive spirit and do some christmas shopping. BIG BIG mistake. Whoever thought any day of the week before christmas would be quiet! I mean what was I thinking.
I should really have just stayed in bed. What with people in Argos giving me grief because allegedly the seething mob was actually a queue. Oh and of course the rail crisis continues.
Every train I got today was delayed by a minimum of 10 minutes. The worst was trying to get back from Clapham Junction – a journey which normally takes 10-15 minutes ended up taking over an hour. Still at least there isn’t a rail crisis anymore and we are just thankful it is usual run of the mill poor service.
