and it made me realise just how body conscious gay men and women tend to be. I think I may look for a gay running club – I think I’m doing pretty well on my own but unless you train with other people you have no idea. Besides I may meet some new friends too.

Well it looks like blogger

Well it looks like blogger is up and running again. Poor Ev has had more on his mind than fixing what is usually a very good service and I cannot believe the number of people who were bitching about it being down. Blogger is a free service and is invaluable to thousands of people but a lot of them seem to take it for granted.

you know I feel really

you know I feel really bad about this but ben browder may have been replaced – by scott bairstow from party of five :o) he’s a nice boy

okay well those of you

okay well those of you that read notsosoft will be aware of the local sandwich shop saga. I’d just like to add that it seems to determine who serves you at the till as to how much your lunch will cost you – Yesterday ?5 today ?3.90 – I think I prefer todays prices

Yesterday was another spent out

Yesterday was another spent out in the sun so no internet and no blog. Today however it looks like summer is over [I’m hoping not].
I have an appraisal next week at work – and I am appraising my assistant this week. This whole writing down your job goals and focus is taking it’s toll on me today and my head is beginning to hurt.
Oh and blogger is having problems so this will probably not publish :o(

lovely sunny day in London

lovely sunny day in London today and so got on the roof and caught some rays. It’s really nice on the roof and not overlooked so did a bit of work on the all over tan :o)
joined spence at sports and shorts at the stag. I went around to his earlier in the day to pick an outfit [not owning any footy gear of my own]. It was a really nice night actually. A little wierd but probably because I felt very out of place wearing football colours. I mean I was not out of place at all there were at least a hundred guys there all in football colours or sportswear I just felt out of place.
Met a nice bunch of people and also Andrew who was very nice [a nurse and doing a degree in computing which seemed an unlikely combination]. He certainly made an impression when he tried to get me to take my tracky bottoms off at the start of the evening. By the time 11.30 came around I had decided to make a move as I was still feeling a little nervy [first time at an event like that really] so started to make a move and lo an behold but so does Andrew [make a move that is] and what a move it was too. Nice snog but way too late in my game. I was all for the extra time but had to run to catch the last train home. So maybe next time eh? I’ll head on over to sas and see if there are any pics of said man and share 😉
Also during the evening was a very scary mud wrestling event which ended in one poor contestant having no shorts left as they had been ripped in half.
Reminded me of the good old days working at the bridge in putney actually, when we had stupid events and an amateur strip night too. I say good old days but you just know I am using rose tinted glasses! Met a couple of the guys from there as well tonight which brought some memories flooding back! So off to bed to dream of what might have happened if I hadn’t bottled it and decided to stay for the extra time.

Madonna Is Coming To Town And The First Place To Get Advance Tickets Is Through AOL – well if you live in the US that is shame they never did this in the UK it would have made my ticket quest much easier!

Oh and Dom at work

Oh and Dom at work has just told me this little gem via IM:
I see that Robert De Niro is being lined up to play that Doctor Harold Shipman in a new film!
Apparently it’s called “The Old Dear Hunter”

I’ve had a few days

I’ve had a few days to think now and chatted with my folks. Went on a nice [but short] trip with Andrew driving up north for the first time in a year really was kind of wierd. It was nice when I got up there though. Met up with Keith who I haven’t seen in ages – unfortunately I was not very talkative – sore throat and tired after the drive.
eventually named Andrews yopungest bearded collie – Shadow – since he never leaves your side. So long as he is following someone [doesn’t mind who] he is fine.
The drive down was nice – except for the rip off Burger King prices in the service station – ?4.99 for a meal you can get for ?3.99 anywhere in London. Motorists sure do have a hard time.
Went for dinner last night [after training] around at scally‘s which was nice. We were supposed to be putting up his new Ikea Wardrobes but decided watching a film would be easier. His newly fitted bathroom is lovely. Shame the lounge is now unrecognisable and you can’t see the nice laminate floor we laid in February.
Mad thunderstorm last night too – was kinda cool and scary all at the same time – only scary cos I was walking Jack in it .
