A girl came skipping home from school one day. “Mommy, Mommy,” she yelled,

“we were counting today, and all the other kids could only count to four,

but I counted to 10. See? 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10!”

Very good,” said her mother.

“Is it because I’m blonde, Mommy?”

“Yes, it’s because you’re blonde.”

The next day the girl came skipping home from school. “Mommy, Mommy,” she

yelled, “we were saying the alphabet today, and all the other kids could

only say it to D, but I said it to G. See? A, b, c, d, e, f, g!”

“Very good,” said her mother.

“Is it because I’m blonde, Mommy?”

“Yes, it’s because you’re blonde.”

The next day the girl came skipping home from school. “Mommy, Mommy,” she

yelled, “we were in gym class today, and when we showered, all the other

girls had flat chests, but I have these!” And she lifted her tank top to

reveal a pair of 36Cs.

“Very good,” said her embarrassed mother.

“Is it because I’m blonde, mommy?”

“No, it’s because you’re 25.

Okay so it’s not Disney World but, Alton Towers is a good second choice for those of us in the UK.
queercompany.com and jaketm.org are organising it for Sunday 20 July, turning it into a Pink Queer Day. Not sure if that is with or without the consent of Alton Towers 😉

Major Fraud

Now I don’t normally watch who wants to be a millionaire but this evening ITV1 was showing a ‘special’. They showed a programme called Major Fraud which outlined the case against Major Charles Ingram along with his wife Diana and Tecwen Whittock.
It was cringeworthy watching it and I’m not sure if it is normally that bad.
Benylin get the award for best product placement in a commercial break though. Considering the first advert in this was for their cough medicine 🙂

friday diversions

Not that we need one today. It’s a Bank Holiday here in the UK and it’s sunny outside but…

1. Who is your favorite celebrity?

I honestly don’t think I have one. I like a few of them but it’s hard to say you have a favourite when I don’t know them.

2. Who is your least favorite?

Pretty much the same really. A lot of them get on my nerves. Uri Geller for instance or Tara Whatsername (the “it” girl). I would hesitate to pick one I least liked though. There are so many that you just think – why are they a celebrity. I could do a list but it would be quite long. They may actually be really nice in real life though so I’ll reserve judgement on that too.

3. Have you ever met or seen any celebrities in real life?

Way too many to count. I used to work for Danny “fifty years in the business darling” La Rue. Hence I met a lot of his friends and when we had the opening of the bar there were more celebrities than you could shake a stick at.

4. Would you want to be famous? Why or why not?

Hell no. Rich yes, famous no. I like my privacy every now and then thank you very much. One stalker was enough for me 😉

5. If you had to trade places with a celebrity for a day, who would you choose and why?

The rude version of this would be to swap with Ben Browder so I could ahem…
The not so rude version would be oh who am I kidding. Ben Browder please :o)

I’m tense

Well according to my physio I am anyway. I have a massage at work once a week so I shouldn’t be that tense. He seems to know what he’s on about though as I can now walk again – which is a good thing. Back on Saturday morning for more though. Plus I have homework – I mean come on!

ooh ooh I’m excited Apple have released Beta 2 of Safari and now it has the one thing I was missing from using Camino – tabbed browsing. Oh and they have also thrown in auto form filling and password management – Genius!

I was missing Davo’s posts recently – nice to see he is back on form. He reckons the hot marine of the week award goes to Lance Corporal Carey Floyd I reckon though there is something to be had for anonymity so here is my vote for hottest marine of the week – he’s anonymous though 🙁

My back is officially sore

I was in so much pain today I went to see the doctor who has referred me to an osteopath or physiotherapist. She doesn’t care which so long as I get it sorted. She also recommended lots of pain killers :o)
So I dutifully went and purchased extra strength ibuprofen and paracetemol. I took two of each before reading the label that says only take one. Ah well my back still hurt so I guess one would have not done a thing.
If this is what getting old is like I better start living a little faster so I die a little younger.

AOL Time Warner has not had a lot of good news recently. So it makes a change that today AOL is in the news for taking spammers to court. Personally I was so sick of the 14 spam mails I received on monday morning I went and got a paid account with spamcop.net I have to say it is a great filtering system and rather than just deleting the mails you get to report the abuse to relevant isp’s.
