‘There was a boy called John…’ When Crichton is interrogated by the Eidolons and has to explain his predicament, he says he does it for the 89th time. This is a reference to Ben Browder’s voice-over for the opening sequence of the 88 episodes of the Farscape series. Sky One have been using this voice over and a rather catchy tune for the farscape adverts – It’s great a nice close up of Ben every 15 mins or so :o)
I’m not obsessing though – honest! Although I can’t get the tune out of my head. Must look that up and find out who it’s by.
the rise and rise of chav culture
Worse than the whole Gay Int? thing on ebay is the rise of scally and chav gear. All I was looking for this time was an adidas top. So it looks like now if you have any second hand clothes you want rid of on ebay you just add the words chav or scally and maybe for good measure add gay int? to the end!

i’m still not convinced…
no really. i’ve never been convinced by the whole bisexual thing. I think it’s not because i don’t understand it. I think maybe I’m jealous. Anyways they certainly shouldn’t be allowed to be nice. It stops me being prejudiced.
Oh and had another conversation tonight about having breathalisers on pc’s. Reminds me of the don’t drink and blog campaign from years ago.

So last night I got an email about domain names and it set me thinking. There are plenty of TLD’s out there and plenty I never think about.
.ca for one. I am fairly used to .com.au because I go there and use sites ther all the time. Canada and .ca though I have to admit other than aol.ca I never really think about Canada having seperate domains from the US.
There is a notetoself.ca in fact there are plenty of other notetoself’s out there. Weird really when you think about it.
In fact I had the same thoughts when I used the old domain 8letters. there is an 8letters.com too and yet it seems to be blank – maybe just an email domain I guess.

See this is how many people viewed my profile over the weekend – 20 per page and that’s 14 pages there so that’s a fair few page views – sadly not quite so many little

as I would like.
Still it’s quality not quantity ;o)
Meanwhile back in Sex Factor land there has been another change around. They are resetting the counts at the end of the month and starting afresh after crowning 10 winners. So that will be erm… nice.

Hate and Fear
It’s bad enough that we have to deal with hate in the real world but in cyberspace it seems that little bit more insipid. I guess though it’s easier for small minded bigots to peddle there fear and hate online than in the real world. In the real world they would have to look at someone and see they are just like them. It’s easy to run arouund and call people names and try to intimidate them until you have to actually look them in the eye and deal with their own feelings.
Ryan is dealing with some hate comments and I must say although worse than comment spam they should be treated in exactly the same way. commenting about it and allowing them to continue validates their views.
When I rule the world people who do not allow others to get on with their lives regardless of race, colour, sexual orientation etc etc should all be made to live someplace else and let the vast majority of people in the world get on with it!
ooh a rant – I haven’t had one of those in a while!

note to self: check mail more often
okay so I came back into work and had 300 odd emails from my two days off last week.
Amongst them are some really cool links and commentry on the web. One of them is EPIC. It could happen – in fact in some ways it already is happening. There are blog aggregators already and with the advent of home made adverts being picked up in the news after promotion on blogs.
In other news I’ve discovered the joy of A9 search. Particularly useful when obsessing over celebs and looking for news and pics all at the same time ;o)
