Hate and Fear

It’s bad enough that we have to deal with hate in the real world but in cyberspace it seems that little bit more insipid. I guess though it’s easier for small minded bigots to peddle there fear and hate online than in the real world. In the real world they would have to look at someone and see they are just like them. It’s easy to run arouund and call people names and try to intimidate them until you have to actually look them in the eye and deal with their own feelings.

Ryan is dealing with some hate comments and I must say although worse than comment spam they should be treated in exactly the same way. commenting about it and allowing them to continue validates their views.

When I rule the world people who do not allow others to get on with their lives regardless of race, colour, sexual orientation etc etc should all be made to live someplace else and let the vast majority of people in the world get on with it!

ooh a rant – I haven’t had one of those in a while!

note to self: check mail more often

okay so I came back into work and had 300 odd emails from my two days off last week.
Amongst them are some really cool links and commentry on the web. One of them is EPIC. It could happen – in fact in some ways it already is happening. There are blog aggregators already and with the advent of home made adverts being picked up in the news after promotion on blogs.
In other news I’ve discovered the joy of A9 search. Particularly useful when obsessing over celebs and looking for news and pics all at the same time ;o)

Has your cum ever dribbled and you wish it had shot out?

Spam Spam Spam
I hate it and it’s getting worse!
Plus when you come in at 08:30 on a monday morning you don’t want to be seeing this kind of thing in your mailbox.

notetoself: get fit!

okay so I’ve been off work on and off for two weeks and am just now feeling 100% so I’ve eaten a proper breakfast and am about to go out and have a run. It’s the first time I’ve felt like exercising all year (okay so I know it’s only 16 days in to the new one but still).

I’ve been going stir crazy too. All this being cooped up in the flat aint good for me.

Roll on the new week. Woo Hoo!

Ace Christmas Presents

Amongst the many fabulous presents I got this year three stand out – well actually loads do but three I’m going to mention anyway! One was Change the World for a Fiver: We Are What We Do. It’s an excellent book well worth the fiver and a great gift for birthdays and secret santa’s alike. A few of the 50 tasks I already did/do. Like turning off the tap whilst brushing my teeth. Others I haven’t done yet but am now going to.
Everyone should own one of these books and do the tasks.

Another great gift was a new alarm clock. Yes I know doesn’t sound exciting. It’s a CD player and a radio and it’s from the gadget shop. Oh and plus it has two alarms for those days when I might have more than one person in my bed ;o)

Finally the gift I bought myself! Latter Days (REGION 1 so you need multi region if you live in the UK). I bought the book and read that first. So the next step was to buy the movie. I’d been thinking about it since April last year anyway. I laughed. I cried. I wanted to watch it again immediately.

Disturbingly for the fourth year in a row I’ve been given a decision maker of some sort. The last two years have been gadget shop magic 8 balls. Does someone think I’m indecisive?
Lots of other cool stuff too. But hey, I’m off to play with them now!

White Christmas

So we had a lovely white christmas here at my parents. So we’ve been outside playing in the snow. Hope the bookies aren’t too upset about losing money on it!

Mini GPS & Profile Suite

This software lets your Nokia 7610 phone magically know that you have arrived at the office and turn your phone’s profile to a quiet, office friendly tune…

gaydar: the talent contest

So just when you thought you knew what gaydar was all about.
They introduce Sex Factor and all of a sudden it becomes a popularity contest – in an amihotornot kind of way!
Still one thing you can’t help but give them credit for is their enthusiasm and adding in new features all the time. I still worry that GPS (gaydar positioning system) will get me into trouble one of these days.
It certainly makes me laugh though when you see people with two profiles and different ages!
