Also discovered Elric can cook last night – albeit with a lot of instruction. It still ended up a lot better than the last straight man I lived with. FF’s idea of a fully balanced meal was a fried egg, half a bag of hula hoops and one of those economy mini pizza’s [you know the ones where you need to put toppings on – well he didn’t]. So Griddled Chicken and vegetables on a bed of basmati was quite nice :o)
Went to the 2 brewers last night [well we went to kazbar too but then moved on] where Pam Ann was on stage. Unfortunately so was I. Pam’s act is a skit on AIr stewards and airlines and must be seen to be believed. However she does a good line in audience participation. I was dragged up on stage to do some percussion accompianment with a plastic teddy bear tambourine. The one saving grace was that als dragged up on stage was an oz sheila called Kelly. Her freind Louisa was also brought into the action and we bonded later post show humiliation style. Granted I had no tampons removed from my clutch bag and displayed to the entire pub! So it looks like our search for a new fag hag is over! We did a quick number exchange after getting some gossip on Pam. She too hails from down under and is well known to our new found friends Louisa and Kelly.

Stor have introduced Stor Troopers and I spent minutes planning my cammo outfit :o)
All I need now are dogtags and a jack russell dog accessory! I was toying with the idea of simply using the skeleton as a lot of people think I am unreasonably skinny.

meg just came to me with a piece of paper with the word “intersitial” emblazoned all over it. It means in between allegedly. So I guess that is like mezzanine – in between floors or vestibule in between the hall and the outside world. blatant use of long words for no reason if you ask me…
Dave at work just sent me a link to computer humor which I thought was kinda funny – granted I have only looked at the acronyms as I am a bit hectic today. Not even time for lunch yet today. In fact come to think of it I haven’t left the office all week :o(
You know the kind o fthings you normally get mailed and put to one side to read later. They all seem to be linked here as I recognise some of the headings.
Americans just can’t do QAF it would seem. Maybe they should stick to friends and young americans. Imagine though if we tried to do friends in the UK who would we end up casting?
oh my god! Having grown up in ‘a posh suburb of Liverpool‘ I must say I read with interest Meg’s most recent post about book buying habits of people from posh suburbs of Liverpool. I mean really – buying books to match the curtains. Reminds me of my Ex’s Sister a lot though. They had a set of shelves in the dining room with a set of the reders digest classics – you know the ones – all bound nicely in leather. I’m sure they where picked for aesthetics rather than titles and none of them looked to have been opened much less read. They did look nice though… kind of posh in an upper middle class sort of way.
ooh and just received an IM from an old colleague – great!
party replies are coming in thick and afst so I can’t really back out now :o)
speaking to people you haven’t seen in ages is a good way to spend the evening – in my protest against gratuitious TV watching I managed to speak to 4 friends so far and email another 2 and SMS a further 3. woo hoo. Now off out to take Jack for a walk.
