Two more sleeps :o)

Watched 24 part two last night. I’d taped it from BBC3 on Sunday night as I was not going to stay up late after watching the first episode on BBC2. It was excellent – easliy as good as the first series (and that’s unusual for a second series I find).
I packed last night too – lots of sun cream as I checked the weather reports for Sydney and it looks like it will be sunny and 25 degrees the entire time I am down under 🙂
I’m very excited now. I need to get some Cadbury’s Dairy Milk for friends and some Heinz Tomato Soup for some weird reason.
So I leave early (and I do mean early) on Thursday morning and arrive Friday evening – I’m hoping the flight is not too bad.
I’m leaving the flat in the capable hands of the invisible flatmate. I told him to have a party whilst I was gone but he isn’t that kind of boy!
So only two more sleeps!

Did I mention I was going to Sydney for 3 weeks?

organica, blogger and google

It’s a bit like blogdex but erm it’s organica
Oh and in other news: Blogger has been bought by bloggers other best friend Google. I’m waiting for them to do something with Microsoft or Apple so you can blog directly from your calendar.

Lasik

You may remember back in september I had LASIK surgery to correct Astigmastism. After the publication of a damning report from Health Which? last week, which claims that the industry is over-hyped and unsafe, the furore over laser eye surgery shows no signs of letting up. Metro has more.

partay

Okay if I ever decide to have a bit of a bash in february ever again remind me not to. No I mean really. Jeez and I thought broken toilets would be the worst thing that could happen after last year!
Little did I know.

Daredevil

Nick and Dave from work came south of the river to play this evening. After we went for a quick one after work for Hugh’s Birthday that is. Although to be fair only Hugh and Tom had alcohol. It was like a meeting of AA. Really it was 🙂
So Nick, Dave and I went to the waterfront for pizza (which was excellent as usual) and then to Streatham Odeon to watch Daredevil (trailers).
It was good I enjoyed it – although action movies with cute guys running around in leather outfits always do it for me 🙂
I left Dave and Nick on the platform at Streatham Common awaiting a Victoria bound train. Hopefully they will make it home (well to one of them at least).

What is a straight wardrobe?

Popbitch says what people are asking this week:
Which bad boy rap megastar enjoys a public reputation as a womaniser but is secretly dating his bodyguard? He makes sure that he has a constant supply of beards, and also orders his stylist to make his wardrobe “as straight as possible”.
I’m actually asking what on earth is a straight wardrobe? I mean does that mean we can all walk around wearing G-Strings and sarongs like David Beckham? If so I’d rather wear a gay wardrobe thanks.

Wednesday Humour

A little rabbit is happily running through the forest when he
stumbles upon a giraffe rolling a joint.
The rabbit looks at her and says, “Giraffe my friend, why do you
do this? Come. Run with me through the forest! You’ll feel so much
better!”
The giraffe looks at him, looks at the joint, tosses it and goes
off running with the rabbit.

Then they come across an elephant doing coke. So the rabbit again
says, “Elephant my friend, why do you do this?
Think about your health. Come. Run with us through the pretty
forest, you’ll see, you’ll feel so good!”
The elephant looks at them, looks at his razor, mirror and all,
then tosses them and starts running with the rabbit and giraffe.

The three animals then come across a lion about to shoot up…
“Lion my friend, why do you do this? Think about your health!
Come run with us through the sunny forest, you’ll feel so good!”
The lion looks at him, puts down his needle, and starts to beat
the sh#t out of the little rabbit. As the giraffe and elephant
watch in horror, they look at him and ask,
“Lion, why did you do this? … He was merely trying to help us!”

The lion answers, “That little f***! He makes me run around the
forest like a muppet every time he’s done an E.”

Thanks to Steve for sending me that this afternoon – made ma laugh and choke in the office.

Priceless

I could explain this one but it’s best if you go read it yourself. A classic in the vein of the Mastercard adverts. Getting the look from one seriously pissed off cat = Priceless!
