okay so the flight was

okay so the flight was delayed slightly but nothing too much to worry about – Virgin are great though the champagne welcome is brilliant. We were upstairs which was nice – as near to being upper class as you can get without the upgrade. The queue at immigration though was a pain – the frequent flyer INS thing sounds like a better idea each time I come this side of the atlantic. Then I was chosen for a random bag seach – good job I left the DVD porn at home đŸ™‚ and then there was a huge line at Hertz. So all in all it took a while to et settled in the hotel, still the nice man in hertz gave us a really nice car – an upgrade of sorts I guess đŸ˜‰ We were praying we didn’t get served by ‘Victor’ who was slimey as you could possibly get and so so camp it was scaring me. He was the kind of guy you see on TV when they are stereotyping really really camp faggots. Thankfully though he was still busy with another customer when we needed served. Close call though. The car has a GPS map system which is lots of fun we turned it on even though we knew the way just for laughs and the ‘turn left now’ comments.
We’ve had a quick trip to Target and a wander around Reston town centre so now off for a bite to eat at Ruby Tuesday’s before bed. I need to catch up on my sleep as I had a lot of Red Bull at Kazbar and te 2 sewers last night – so much that I was still buzzing and wide awake at 5:30 when I needed to be up and in a cab at 8:30 so erm no more red bull for me.

well I have been here

well I have been here less than 24 hours and have made it to abercrombie already đŸ˜‰ We zipped out at lunchtime to the mal at Dulles Town Centre and did a quick stop. We also discovered it is open until 9.30 tonight so we may be paying a slightly longer visit later!

well after a gruelling day I am finally settled in the hotel in Reston, VA – and about to go out shopping – so I’ll write up the journey and stuff later! Oh and note to self – do not drink red bull the night before flying and expect to sleep…

Hey and whilst we are at it – I am signed on at home and forgot to bring the webcam home so no pics of my work trip away I’m afraid.
On a differing note you know ages ago I said that when you like someone proximity is a good thing well I was wondering how rational it was to miss someone you have only ever spent 12 hours with and 6 of those spent asleep. It’s not rational at all I didn’t really need to ask that. Well anyways I am off to the states on Sunday for a whole 3 weeks. Just booked the weekends in DC at the Brenton Gay Guest House so that should be a laugh – booked a room for the straight guy accompanying me too – wonder how that will go down đŸ™‚ Oh well I’m sure he can look after himself. May ask him to go to Badlands too so I don’t have to go on my own. I took my boss last time and she liked it. I’m sure Jonathan will too – I’ll keep you posted though!

Okay so it was kinda

Okay so it was kinda hectic in the office this morning and then all day really so I never did get a chance to blog how fab Madonna was. Really we lucked out on the tickets they were very close to the stage and we could practically spit on the Queen should we have wanted to. I loved every one of the 90 minutes she spent on stage so the ?1 a minute price tage was well worth it. Of course it was madonna so I was bound to love it :o)
I promise to write more and will no doubt be prompted by the boys uploaded pictures. scally and davo were in attendance you see so pics will follow sometime this month.

okay I nipped home [and it only took me the hour I have for lunch which was good] and found the madge tickets – everyone is very pleased/relieved and now listening to Love Muscle XX which is so trashy it’s fabtastic – I love it and know why it is my favourite club now!

how is easyjet a low

how is easyjet a low price airline? I can travel with bmi from London Heathrow to Amsterdam for ?109.80 inclusive of all taxes etc etc but with the allegedly low cost airline for the same week end in August it will cost ?123.20 plus a ?3 fee for using a credit card online this is without a choice of flights whereas bmi give me a choice of flights for the same price. erm I smell a problem here. So the low cost airline will actually cost me ?16.40 more and I would have to fly from Gatwick Now get this if I fly from Luton [which is a fucking pain to get to from anywhere and will cost a fortune] I do get a choice of flights but it will cost me a staggering ?146.20 which is a full ?36.40 more than bmi. Oh and I also get points with bmi so erm I guess bmi it is then!
